This decision was announced today (Wednesday, March 25) by Education and Primary and Mass Education Minister Dr. A N M Ehsanul Haque Milon at a discussion meeting held at the Ministry of Education.
During the meeting, several important directives were given to modernize the examination system and ensure transparency. The minister stated that a uniform question paper will be introduced across all education boards for the HSC examination in 2026. Additionally, closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras will be installed in every examination center to prevent irregularities and ensure fairness.
Special instructions have also been given to the chairmen of education boards to ensure the smooth conduct of the upcoming SSC examinations. They have been asked to identify the current conditions of examination centers and any potential challenges, and to submit a detailed report to the ministry within a short time.
Reiterating the government’s strict stance against cheating and any form of malpractice, the minister emphasized that a “zero tolerance” policy will be enforced in this regard. Furthermore, to reduce academic pressure on students, a high-level committee will be formed to assess the possibility of reducing the number of examination subjects in the future.
Dr. Ehsanul Haque Milon also said that a cheating-free environment is essential for the intellectual development of students. He noted that in the past, active participation from teachers helped prevent malpractice, and this practice will continue in the future. Proper coordination among center secretaries and local administrations in divisional cities will ensure fair examinations.
The meeting was chaired by Abdul Khalek, Secretary of the Secondary and Higher Education Division. Also present were Muhammad Rafiqul Islam, Secretary of the Technical and Madrasa Education Division, along with senior officials of the ministry and chairmen of all education boards.
